As intelligent computing centers and AI data centers (AIDCs) are deployed at scale and legacy data rooms undergo cabling density upgrades, traditional optical patch panel systems—due to their large footprint and limited scalability—are no longer capable of meeting the evolving demands of high-density fiber management.

To address this challenge, SHKE introduces a new generation of high-density cabling solution featuring modular design and flexible expandability—tailored for next-generation data centers.

MP6 High-Density Modular Patch Panel System

The MP6 series stands out for its high-density and modular design. With a comprehensive portfolio of module types, it has gained wide customer recognition and is purpose-built for high-density cabling environments such as hyperscale data centers and computing facilities. It offers massive fiber capacity, low-latency, high-speed transmission, and seamless support for network upgrades to higher data rates.

1.Ultra-High-Density Cabling

  • LC Connectivity:

Supports up to 144 LC ports in 1U and 576 LC ports in 4U, enabling up to 6480 LC terminations within a standard 2.2m 45U rack using MP0-LC modules, maximizing rack space utilization.

  • Next-Gen VSFF Connectors:

Compatible with 216 CS ports or 288 SN ports in 1U, achieving up to 9720 CS or 12,960 SN terminations in a 2.2m 45U rack, significantly boosting cabling density.

  • MPO/MTP Trunk Support:

Accommodates 72 MPO/MTP trunk cables in 1U, totaling 3240 MPO/MTP trunks in a 2.2m 45U rack. With each trunk supporting up to 24 fibers, total fiber count can reach 77,760 cores, meeting the demands of ultra-dense fiber distribution networks.

2.Modular Deployment

  • Sliding Tray Design:

Available in a 1U 3-layer sliding tray structure. Each tray operates independently, providing optimal maneuverability and ample space for installation and maintenance.

  • Tool-Free Operation:

Modules and adapter panels are front-and-rear installable/removable without tools, enabling quick Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs).

  • Scalable Chassis Options:

Also available in 2U and 4U configurations, supporting broader deployment requirements across diversified data center scenarios.

3.Flexible Expansion

  • Multiple Fiber Counts & Connector Types:

Compatible with 8/12/16/24-fiber LC modules, and supports CS, SN, MPO/MTP interfaces. Available in single-mode and multimode versions to match different device interconnects.

  • Efficient Cable Management:

Integrated front and rear cable management brackets, with zero intrusion into rack space.

  • PatchingModules:

Customizable fiber count and polarity for direct connection to optical transceivers across various form factors.

  • Splicing Modules:

Designed for incoming inter-room fiber cable splicing, allowing fibers to be fusion-spliced into pre-terminated internal fibers.

  • Adapter Panels:

Front and rear accessible for patching via LC, CS, SN, or MPO/MTP adapters, enabling fast and clean deployment.

4.Hybrid Optical-Copper Cabling

Built on the MP6 modular tray structure, the panel introduces support for RJ45 modules, enabling hybrid cabling within a high-density patching environment. As the first sliding-type high-density hybrid patch panel in China, MP6 offers a typical 1U configuration of 24 RJ45 ports + 48 LC fibers, catering to more diverse and converged network deployment needs.

5.Compact MP6S(Slim) Option

For shallow cabinet depths or space-constrained environments, the MP6S (Slim) version offers a streamlined alternative:

  • Patch panel depth: only 125mm
  • Total installed depth (with front and rear cable managers): 336mm
  • Delivers the same port density with a 32% reduction in depthcompared to the standard version.
