Description:
Data transmission has played a criticalrole in the development of the electronics market, This requirement is now a crucialpart of the automotive industry. SHKE has risen to this chal lenge to develop an interconnection product range which can ensure the usage of high data transmission functions such as traffic information and
entertainment ( Infotainment ) , in the automotive industry.
Through the development of MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport), the new Optical Multimedia Network for the automotive environment, SHKE has played an active role both as a member of the consortium and as a participant in the “ Physical Layer Working Group” which was responsible for the Physical Layer.
For this future oriented technology, SHKE has developed a new connector system. It includes optical-electronic components, Pig Tai ls, several hybrid connectors (optical and electrical contacts) and Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) cable assembl ies.
Product variations easi ly accommodated uti l izing the core design.
SHKE offers a flexible processing system to the wiring harness manufactures in the integration of the POF in their existing wiring harness assembly process. This is achieved through new technology such as the laser welding process for the connection of the ferrules to the POF and finishing of the fiber end-face.
